Does anyone know what clusters would be compatible with a 05 vp civic. I think the 03 cluster would be compatible but I want to be sure before I get one. I took apart the cluster today and there are two harness's that plug in to the cluster (blue &green) if that helps any.

Civics have 2 main clusters - halogen lit and led lit.

Led to led and halogen to halogen is basically plug n play.

halogen to led and vise versa require the wiring pins to be reordered.

Halogen Lit:

The LX 2001-2002 instrument cluster will swap into the 2004-2005 VP or DX since the wiring is the same. If the EX 2001-2002 instrument cluster is used the ABS lite will stay on.


LED Lit:

2003-2005 LX and EX Clusters. They will need the pins to be rewired. I think someone has posted some pin outs on this forum a while back.

you can always buy gauge faces to change it up and then do custom LED job to light it, and even change the color of the needles. There is all info on the site on how to do it. Personally I like the 03-05 gauges in respect to that halo ring around the gauges.. I wanted to bring that aspect over to my 01lx. Custom it is.

thanks for the help guys! i think im just gonna try a junkyard or ebay for the 01-02 lx cluster .. i havent found any custom guage faces for the vp model and I figured if I got a new cluster I can get a tach that the VP model lacks but i might try out those blue needles

I have been looking for compatible clusters but Im not positive which cluster is compatible. You said that the 01-02 lx cluster is plug and play with the 05vp cluster but is it the 02 cluster with the three gauge circles
