why would you want to do that..you can't use both decks.. just replace the stock one or get a honda CD changer

Because you do not have 2 antenna inputs, you do cannot run 4 speakers off 2 seperate decks. when you turn your ignition on both decks come on. which would cause a sphrt at your speakers and blow the internal amps in Both hu's.

I'm gonna have to disagree and agree with you at the same time mohawk. Yes you could put two decks in at the same time, but its more trouble then its worth. Like mohawk said, Why in earth would you want to do something like that. Just replace your stock HU!!! Do you have some sort of bond with your stock HU and don't want to part ways with it?

Alot of people get this Idea so that they can use the aftermarket HU's amps.. still have the tape player.. and CD player too ...it can be done yes..but it involves the wiring of alot of relays and creation of a pretty comlicated circuit. and it's just all out impracticle...
Hooking up the stock HU to an amp is actually inexpensive and easy. If you are satisfied with the stock head unit just add a High-to-low converter and hook up your amps. Will cost you about $20 for the parts to do this. You need a High-to-Low converted also called a line input converter. Some amps will even accept the direct speaker leads from a head unit.

What about replacing the stock HU with a new one (I'm looking at the Kenwood with the LCD, DVD, TV tuner and touch screen), then mounting a graphic EQ in the opening underneath? I've talked to a couple of installers about it, and they say it's entirely possible, and quite easy. . .is it worth it though?

the area underneath could take anything that would mount in the top slot, except finding a mounting kit might not be so easy since it would be different than the one for the top. i never looked though because i never had the need, there might well be one that would be able to do it
