this is true. member also mentioned before about the gps being only Japan area, i agree.
on a related note, my grandfather brought a domestic radio (made there only) and it wouldnt pick up any US frequencies. cellphones back in the day you couldnt use a different continent either (that dual & triband shiznit).
most things can be rewired/reprogrammed, but how much use will it be once you get it running? good luck learning japanese hahahachrist
just buy the us version and save yourself the hassle?
