ok so in my eager ness to remove my door panels my dumb *** managed to crack the drivers panel int he midst of removing.
si im stuck on a dilema. to replace it. money. to patch and paint it. money. and to do what ever i want and se what happens. may cst more. may be less hehe

So Since I jsut got some component PG Xenon 5.0 speakers to install I figured wtf. and I'm goign to mount them in with some FG and some body work and then repaint the whole panel.

I need some pointers.
Do I want them facing prett ymuch right up at me? or toward the middle like the stocks were?
How car above the speaker should i Put the tweater. I hear within 18 inches? but if I move it forward a bit and bring it up 12 or 10 will I b e ok?

I'm not that picky when it coems to sound. but I dotn want to F up the quality either.

any advice would be great. I've onyl done some mild FG work. so this will be a leap :S

I've noticed that 7th generation civics have some of the worst imaging as far as the 6 1/2s and 5 1/4s are concerned. I strongly suggest to aim them more in the direction of your ears.

ears. k gotcha. that was the plan anyway. i plan to point them so there easy to see. as im goign for looks i picked up the sticks and such today to sart on them. heh. cant wat never doen this before. so im frakin a lil bit. but ive played with FG before.s o I guess we will see. I will probably have it profesionallly painted also.s o lets see how she goes

ive started mine. and mis judged. put the panel ont o test fit. the damn things BARELY touched the dash lol. it jsut fits. not the back halfs i need to make sure i keep thin. the front i can build up. pics coming soon!! i promise

only doing drivers side so far. goign to do everything to it that i want. then i move onto the pasenger

this might be a noob question but wouldnt the thin FG start to crack after a while because of the speakers vibration or are these speakers not that high of an output?

you know fiber glass is wut makes most aots that bounce off waves? and many custom sub box's with 15 inch pounders in it?

the fg will hold. im quite sure

i highly reccomend you check it out
