Tweeter Help!!!
Im really new to the site but ive searched and couldnt find anything for this question....I had some tweeters installed in an 03 coupe on the A Pillars but the only problem is that you cant raise or lower the flip down mirror things
without popping the tweeters out or doing it really carefully and its a real pain in the ***
...so i was wondering if anyone knows a good flush mount tweeter set that will allow room to use the mirrors?? I would pop them out and put them somewhere else but it would leave a hole there and i really dont want that...PLEASE HELP ME

Then I covered the whole pillar with some nice grill lemans grill cloth to match the interior fabric. The fabric I used is so close to the stock color that people are suprised when I tell them it isn't stock.
I believe I have a photo in the gallery of the pillars. If not here then at my sounddomain page.

They pop right off. Just pull.
Grill cloth = fabric store
Hole in pillar = hole saw bit for a drill.
Hold tweeter in place = glue gun
Have fun...

They are mounted at the tops of the pillars? Thats a horrible horrible spot for them...it should be as close as possible to the mid driver, no higher than the mirrior garnish spot like gearbox has his at.
If anything, re mount them on the bottoms of the a-pillars and just cover them in speaker cloth, or put them in the doors somewhere.

They are up there because thats where the guy at the install place put them...I would have liked to do it myself but its the first car stereo install ive ever had done and i didnt want to mess it up....if i did remount them how could i cover up the hole?? And what color grill cloth would match a grayish black interior??

The idea is to bring your front stage up. Mine compliment the silk domes in my kick panels. It really all personal preference. The a pillars have an open spot that should be about ear level. Pull em off and take a look. The a pillars work well because they literally fire at each other so pathlength and imaging aren't really an issue.
Black matches everything....

I have a quesiton about the tweeters too... If I find the tweeters from an ex (stock) can I take those out and mount my new ones in? and if so, any idea where I can get the stock tweeter "cups"?
