Tweeter Location

I just bought an 88 Crx with a half stolen stereo system..The original owner put MB Quart component speakers in the door panels and custom mounted a tweeter in the panel a few inches from the door lock. (The tweeter is basically 3 inches in front of my nose while the 6" speaker is down by my knee in the door panel).

Since the head unit is missing I can't really test SQ, but I'm thinking this setup can't be good for imaging...(especially considering MB Quarts ear bleeding tweeters).

I'm planning on replacing the MB Quarts with infinity kappa component's, should I use the custom mounts or redo the whole thing and try and clean up 2 tweeter sized holes in the door panelling?

If any one can Identify the MB quarts or give me an idea what their worth it'd be much appreciated...

their 6 yrs old and this is all that's left for writing on the back

MB Quart
MQ 130 TX
4 ohms
50 watt Belastbarkeit
QM Nr. 83611

Thanks

Those are one of MBq's OLDER entry level components.. better off replacing them. You can mount the tweets in the kickpanel area..on the doors..or on the dash...all are frequently used by many install shops..

I've got a pair of those components up front with the tweeters and another set in the back without the tweeters any idea on how much I should be selling them for?

That's what I figured, their going to be Bolted to my garage wall, right beside my stock civic speakers...........it's modern art.

It'll be worth a fortune when I'm dead.
