tweeter install...factory wiring help needed

i am an idiot...being the impatient person that i am on putting my system together, im confused with the cars wiring layout. i just bought the Pioneer OEM tweeter found here (part #3). i recieved the package today and saw that theres a connector at the end of the tweeter wire. now since i dont have an EX i dont have the rest of the original wiring to plug the connector into. i cant tell from the diagram what its supposed to connect to. so my question is, what other parts do i need to buy in order to connect the tweeter onto the 6 1/2s without having to cut off the connector? thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure that the stock tweeters run of the front right/left speaker channels. Because on the HU wiring harness, there is are only 4 sets of speaker outputs. The tweeters have an inline crossover, save this, and just trim off the end with the connector, get some 18 guage speaker wire, and splice that in with the wires going to the front speaker. You can solder the wires or just twist them together then tape them. That will be cheaper than buying parts from honda. Good Luck.

i dont have any crossovers or filters yet. i wont be getting an amp soon or anything cause im short on money. also i assumed the tweeters were wired in with the front speakers, but my question is about where the connector goes into. if u look at the link on my first post above you can see that there is a connector at the end of the wire connected to the tweeter. where does that plug into?

If your car was not set up for tweeters from the factory, you will probably not have that plug. If you do, it is about 2" down and 4" to the left of the bottom of the tweeter pod. It is a small rectangular white two pin plug.

yeah my car doesnt come with tweeters so i know there isnt a plug for it. but what im trying to figure out is what part do i need to buy?

JJF,
look here on the picture and see if u can tell which piece is the small white rectangle plug you're talking about. maybe i can buy that piece and plug it directly into part #3 on the picture. that way i dont have to cut off the connector and have a nice perfect fit that i can disconnect whenever i want.

thanks

I've always been told that our cars have all the wireing in it, even if it's not used. So, the wires for your tweeters should be there, just nothing plugged into it.
