Just bought subs... wat kinda amp?!?!
i just purchased 2 10" infinity subs... 1000 watts max power... 250rms each at 4ohms or sometin.. wat kinda amp should i get to power these suckers... ive been told 600watt amps will be perfect.. i dont know if i should go more, go less...i dont listen to alotta rap music so im not gonna be pounding these things like crazy. wat do u guys think??
as long as you have something equal or higher than your subs total RMS at 4ohms you should be good.
Infinity Reference 7541a amp in bridged mode? Looks like it goes for about $190-$230 on eBay...

250 rms each @ 4 ohms I would say you need 300-400 watts from that for optimum performance of go 500-600 rms amp so that it can be turned down to not work as hard and be more effecient

First thing you need to find out is how your subs are setup, parellel or series. If you have SVC's you need an amp that does at least 500rms at 2 ohm. If you have DVC's then you need an amp the does at least 500rms at 1 ohm or 4 ohms.
^negative, kenwood makes fairly good decent decks but not subs/amps.
as mentioned already, figure out what voice coil configuration you have on those infinity subs then come back here. if their dual voice coiled, you'd have more wiring flexibilty compared to single voice coil subs.

figure out your wiring .. then look for an amp that gives you the subs rms at the correct ohm load. as said before u could always go for a higher wattage amp and leave the gain down a bit to make it more efficient, but either way just be sure not to crank it all the way and let distortion blow ur subs.

To answer your question. Your not looking for 250watts x2.
You need to look for "500rms or more x 1 @ X ohms".
