Ignited Push Button Ignition troubleshooting
I just got the Ignited push button ignition, and am having some trouble. I have the non-illuminated one, so there are just 2 connectors on the switch, one for 12v power and one for the starter wire. I tap spliced into the white wire and the black/white stripe wire in the steering column, and the switch doesn't do anything, although the car still starts when I crank it. Do I have this wired up right, or is there anything you can reccommend to try to get it working? Thanks.

should there be a ground wire somewhere? I know the s2000 button has the same connectors as this one, plus a ground, and almost all the other switches I have have a ground, but there's nowhere to put one, and right now it's wired up correctly according to the DIY here and the instructions that came with the button. I even looked up the circuit diagram in my Hayame's, and everything looks right.

My friend had some Scotch-Lok taps that came with a Hella kit he bought, and I used those. The wires are definitely tapped, i almost cut them in half. I'm actually leaving this morning for the week, but when I get back, I'm going to try getting the power from the 12v accessory wire and see if that works.
