ive had this headunit for like 6 weeks without any problems, but recently its started to **** up real bad. when i turn my car on sometimes it wont even get power. when it does get power the only thing that happens are the buttons light up. i think it has something to do with the motorized panel. when i can get it to play music if i mess with the motorized panel settings it will instantly turn off. help please.

ka kenwood is junk now. the only thing i can suggest is run a new power wire direct from the battery and run a separate ground. i still need to do this, but i have an alpine so it still works great. maybe try putting some grease on the moving parts?

im probably going to be needed a new headunit pretty soon because my kenwood is screwed up pretty bad. im not very knowledgeable when it comes to car audio equipment so if someone could point me in the direction of a good headunit that plays cd/mp3 cd's i would really appreciate it. i was planning to buy off ebay in the $300 range. thanks.

i have an alpine cda-9847 that I just got at best buy for $200. It is an amazing deck worth every penny. Better than most out there. Also matches the coupe red/amber interior nicely.
