Hey guys,
I've got a problem! =(
My A/C has been down for a long *** time now and I'm finally getting down on fixing it. I checked out the fuse box in the engine bay and find that the condensor fan fuse is blown. I replaced it, but as soon as I started the car, it blew again. I had the A/C on when I started the car, so I figured if I turned off the A/C and try replacing the fuse and turn the car on, THEN it shouldn't blow immediately, but it did.
Now, I gotta explain that, in terms of electrical components, I haven't ever really changed anything on my car. I have a 2002 civic ex COUPE, and it came with a factory installed alarm that has been working for four years now without trouble; (except maybe it's insane sensitivity, but that's another rant). About two years ago, I installed indiglo gauges (yes, i know, i know...) and after I removed it soon after, I left the brain(?) unit and "color changer" thingy where they were and simply removed the gauges themselves. I thought that maybe the brain unit and control being there wouldn't cause any problems, because, when the gauges were still in place, the control "glowed" (I put it in my change holder on the left under the steering wheel); but, recently, it turned off and doesn't light up anymore. I have a feeling that the gauge parts may be interfering with the electrical system somehow and will pro'ly remove the brain and control pieces soon.
I'm hoping that I won't have to go to any parts/repair shop simply because everything I've done to my car thus far, I've done myself. If anyone can help me out with this nuisance, that'd be awesome! Thanks alot.

You might have a blown temperature sensor on your a/c. This happened on a 1995 Civic that I used to own, and whenever the car was turned on, the condensor fuse would blow. I replaced the temp sensor and it stopped blowing the fuse, and everything worked fine. The temp sensor is located behind your glove box attached to the a/c fan box.
Just one thing to check. There is a test procedure that any competent shop could do before replacing the sensor, and you can get just the sensor pretty cheap if that does end up being the problem. I haven't looked to see how hard the sensor is to get to on the 01+, but it should be located in about the same place.
