door locks and head unit won't work

i was putting my head unit back in and while pushing it back to pop everything into place the power wire ( yellow) was open because its cap (i used those twist on caps to do it) popped off because it got hung on something and it contacted that metal.. i think this blew a fuse but when i checked my acc radio fuse and the door locks fuse they looked to be ok... my interior light only comes on when the ignition is turned to II and the pwr door locks no longer work... anyone know what i can do?

most stores use crimp caps which get crimped onto the wires. The only place wire nuts belong are on residential wiring.

wire nuts rule!!!! I use them all day long
But I do agree, it is only for residential wiring. I didn't even know people used those for I.C.E., where you from?

Agreed, my dad has been an electrician for 36 years and has taught me all of the tricks of the trade. All mods in my car are completely soldered with shrink-tubing.

southern jersey. Every car that comes into the bay that has some DIY work done to it is done with wirenuts. I wanna replace them all, but my sup doesnt like doing that cause it makes us liable if anything happens in the future.
