battery question

i installed my amplified sub a month or 2 ago... i havnt checked the battery in a while.. its a brand new 05 civic... well i looked at the battery today and now theres like goldish yellow stuff on both the neg and positive... i didnt put anything on it and before it was dry... the goldish stuff is real soft ... plz help!... did i do anything wrong? is it normal? wat is it!?

I think thats just corrosion or something like that. Clean it all back too the metal and put some dielectric grease, or whatever you call it.

mix baking soda with water then pour it on the affected parts of the battery and it will clear the corrosion right off....also check your terminals for a leak.

Go to autozone, or your local parts store. Get a terminal brush and some of the terminal spray, and some dialyectic grease. Clean with the terminal brush and the spray then treat it with the grease. It'll kill the corrosion.
