DVC noob
i'm looking to get a tad bit of bass in my car, but I'm noob when it comes to DUAL VOICE COILS.
Here's the sub i'm looking to get:
Power Handling: 300 watts RMS
2” 4-Layer ASV Voice Coil
Dual 4 Ohm
2 or 8 Ohm Operation
And the amp I've got is 300 watt mono.
Is this sub going to be extremely underpowered? If I want to use the amp i already have, should I just go the single coil route?
And in terms of wiring:
Amp(+) to Coil 1 (+) to Coil 2 (+)
Amp (-) to Coil 1 (-) to Coil 2(-) ??
Thanks guys

if you are just getting one of the subs you most likely get full power out of the amp (I would guess its 300wrms @ 2 ohms), but if you are getting 2, you will be wiring it for either 1 or 4 ohms, and since I doubt your amp will do 1 ohm, you won't get full power out of it.
As far as wiring it goes: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp is your friend
