quick question

i was wondereing if inverting the subs in your box makes a difference in sound. i have some powerful subs but the have a really nice basket.i wanted to show the rear of the speaker. also i wanted to know if a ported or sealed box is better for 1500 watts and up?this will help me in making my trunk setup this weekend. thanks in advance

might make a bit of a difference in sound beucase it will change your box volume but it won't be much. if you invert your subs, switch the + and - wiring on your woofers.

ported boxes are loud, but sound "loose" and not as sharp. Sealed boxes are not quite as loud but it is much tighter and sharper sounding.
A buddy of mine has two of the new 12 inch type subs and he had them in a sealed box and then he built a ported one and personally i think he should have kept the sealed. It just sounds like cheap loud subs, or sloppy.

You need to switch the + And - when you mount your sub magnet out Because it makes the sub move the other way. But some HU's have a feature to reverse the sub polarity so it could be done through the HU instead (my last 3 pioneers had that feature, I don't know about other brands).
