Best way to put LEDs on circuit board?

Currently on the Circuit board the LEDs are blue. I want to put white in their place, is there an easy way going about this. I have done some soldering but alls I have is a standard soldering iron (the pen type) Is there another kind I could use with a finer tip or a particular kind of solder? Here are some pics of the board and LEDs

The top of the board with the LEDs

And the back of the board you can see the LED spots where there are two small solders right next to one another

Use solder-wick and a small wattage iron to "wick" the solder from the LED leads. Clip the used section of the solder wick off often and work quickly so you do not lift the PCB traces.

Observe the flat side of the old and new LEDs and match them up.

Cool, so I dont need to touch the resistors, just change the LED bulbs.

Well.... The working voltage/current may be different between the new and old LEDs, so it is possible. You could change out one of them and test. Getting the diodes changed should be simple.
