I have an 04 EX so it comes with the tweeters right by the 2 rearview mirrors. Unfortunatly when i replaced my door speakers I acted on impulse and didnt buy components. I got decent speakers, alpine X's. But the tweeters sound horrible.

Would it be a waste to replace the tweeters? I would like to just get some components, but money is too tight right now. Plus i just had my subs stolen, so i would rather work on that issue I can get tweeters online, but they are all different sizes ranging from like 1.5" down to like .5" and a few sizes in between. Anyone know what size they are and how easy it would be to install, like would i use the normal speaker harness?

I thought alpine type xs were top of the line components?
I have type rs in the back and front, i have 04 ex sedan, and it did not come with tweeters stock, so i had to cut door panels and rear molding. I did'nt think that civics came with tweeters, oh well.
you can take them out and measure them, then buy upgraded replacements, but if your speakers do not have cross overs, you might as well get new ones.

Lol I apologize i really meant to say R's. I have had a long day at work. I am lazy and dont feel like pulling them out just to measure. lol, i guess thats what it is going to come down to.

The ex is advertised as an "upgraded sound system." Upgraded meaning 6 speakers rather than 4. Once i get my camera back i will post a picture of the speakers, probably a day or 2.

I have an 04 and never realized this was an option, oh well, i replaced the HU 3-4 days after i got it.

I borrowed this picture from ebay. I would have just posted it but i can't save anything b/c i am on a government computer.

At this point its either going to be replace the tweeters or just disconnect them till i get components.

You can see the speakers right by where the side rearview mirrors are.
