wow there has been a rawsh of these lately. theres a fuse box under your steering wheel and one under the hood on the pass. wheel well. the fuse guide will be on the inside of the lid of the fuse box. also just because a fuse doesnt look blown doesnt mean its still good.

Fuse 2 and fuse 5 in the under hood box.

The cracking noise does not sound good.

Any recent head unit installs by chance ??

illumination wire probably grounded out, and most likely still is. Id remove the radio and wiring before replacing that fuse, otherwise you could turn something as simple as a fuse into something worse.

the cracklingn noise probablyt comes from the relays of cabin fuse box..

but AGAIN...like im my case.it might not because of the relay...but the whole multiplexor (the fuse box)...

It Work Fine For About Half An Hour And As Soon As I Turned The Radio On The Dash And Rear Tail Lights Go Out....so I Tried Replacing The Fuse Again And I Notice That When I Turn The Radio Is On And As Soon As I Switch Turn The Dash Lights On The Radio Goes Out For A Few Seconds And Then Turns Back On Again.....unfortunatly I Cant Say The Same With The Dash Lights And Taillights........is There A Loose Wire In The Stock Radio???....thanks

I would re-check all connections to the head unit and associated wiring. Check the illumination leads in particular

Thanks For The Suggestions Guys.......i Kinda Solved The Problem.....the Only Thing Now Is That I Have No Radio......i Removed The Fuse For The Radio, Before I Placed A New Fuse {#2} Under The Hood.....the Dash Lights And Rear Tail Lights Are Now Working Normally, But As Soon As I Put The Fuse In For The Radio, Everything Gets Messed Up Again......does This Suggest That There Is Something Wrong With The Head Unit? Also,"craig W" How Do I Check The Illumination Leads? Are Thosse The Leads Behind The Factory Head Unit?.....thanks For The Info Everyone

Dude....................

u put it #2, everyhing messed up again?

Jesus christ Lord........how many people already with the same problem?

listen to me, it's exactly the same like mine.........it's just that....it hasn't gone that far like my car.......

in my case, it's #2 and #5.

if i plug em in, dash light all lit up....Error......and i can't start my car..

.
.
.
.
.

got the checked...........for fvcking stupid $200 in honda, they 99% belive, multiplexor is the problem. it's weak, that's what they said.

NOW...if ur problem gets worse......like mine..........when u turn off ur car....the headlight will light on......in my case, i've to take out my battery cable everytime i park my car......

THIS is just basically the same problem.........but a different variant.....all and all...the multiplexor is the problem. IMHO.

this is what it looks like..

this is the diagram of the fuse box..

did i explained it good enough?

www.installdr.com and www.metraonline.com

The illumination lead is tied into the dash lights circuit, which is tied into the tail lights circuit. It allows the head units illumination to function when the lights are on.

Most units use orange or orange/white wires.

^lol...

indeed............

i explained this....i don't know how many times to many members.......

thing is.......if u lost $200 for diagnose, $120 for the part....and yet $80 for replacing it....with no guarantee that it won't happen again for the second time..........................

once again......NO guarantee that if today it's fixed......the next day...or the week after.......same thing happen again *KNOCK on Wood*

think about it: even till now, i have NO idea what causing it!
My 04 tail conversion? My headunit? My amp? My sub? what? why? when? how?
This is pissin' me off!

so...................then, ur' gonna start *sigh*-ing....

u know?

note: i know somebody gonna say, "calm down, man........"

"zen master" thanks for the info. i just have a couple of questons to ask you. before dishing out the cash for that multiplexor, i really want to try to solve this problem on my own "if possible"..lol. last night i realized that when only the radio is on that when i tapped the area around the top of the dash, a crakling sounds comes from the front driverside speaker. but as soon as i turn the radio off, and tap again there is no crakling sound from the speaker. which in turn makes me believe that there is something loose behind the dash or head unit. did this happen to you? also, do u know what wires are linked to the front speakers and what fuse......thanks for your help man
