Neon the stock alt can be rebuilt to 90 amps no problem.. Our Honda's use 70 amp Mitsubishi alternators also found on Hyundai's Mitsubishi's and Chrysler engine's.. My Old Hyundai Sonata alt is sitting next to my civic alt.. except for dirt and some pitting they identical..if you can find a 90 amp alternator for a Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai Elantra, Mistu Eclipse, Eagle Talon, all 94-up you're set
so mr mohawk, lets say i was to come across a higher power alternator from one fo these cars... would it be hard to install.... im not running anything for super high spl but i only worry because my ac is on 24/7 (miami never gets below 70) so i figure an extra 20 amps could calm my paranoia...

Unless the internals of the alternators are wired any different..they are 100% Identical in shape, Size, and appearance..

If you guys just want the 90 amp stock alt, I can do that too.
There was some guy who was supposed to come to the shop last month for an install in a 2001 civic but never showed up..Needless to say....the kit never was finished.

haha...yea..do you think it's nessecary to upgrade my alt though? i have 2 10w7s powered by eclipse DA7232 (2000watt 2ch.) and Crystal rears and front components by (2) Eclipse 33240 (350watt 4 ch. each). i have a optima yellow top in the trunk along with a 2 farad cap. had the setup for almost a year now..didnt really have any problems cept headlights and headunit (Eclipse CD5441) dimming.
