2 batterys
Hey Ive got a quick question on running 2 batterys using a Diode Isolator. From pictures and diagrams I think the way to wire it is really simple but just to make sure it goes like this right.
3 terminals on the Isolator
Battery 1----- goes to left terminal
Battery 2------ goes to right terminal
Alternator------- goes to middle terminal
????
Also where is a good place to buy a Diode Isolator. And will I need a new alternator to run these 2 optima yellow tops, 2 450 c compressors, and also about 1200 watts RMS for my system?
If so where can I buy the Didoe Isolator and a Higher rated alternator, and what kind of amperage should the alternator put out? Thanks guys

where are you in california? if in 714 go to HENRY'S Audio Shop. I dont have the exact address but its in anaheim between Orange and Ball Rd. on Beach BLVD. you cant miss it its on the north side you'll see a big ALPINE sign.
They have the best deals on this type of stuff and they are also the best installers of ANYTHING i have encountered. check this page out to see some of their work. they installed the isolater in this M3. I think they charged the guy about 100 for the whole two battery install with the isolater (the owner of the car bought the battery and they provided the isolater)
HOPE THIS HELPS.
edit: tell them that you got the info from this site from monkey. they might give you a deal if they know im spreading the word around. hehehee. i got all my stuff done there too and they know me very well. just a tip.
