Purchasing two 12 inch type r's
hey guys im gonna go ahead and purchase some 12s rom hookedontronics..........anyways.... im gonna go with the older type r's (300rms) and also should i get two dvc 2 ohms since there are more 2 ohm stable amps available? i just wanna say goodbye to my 15s days.... and try something new..
its totally up to you. If you run at 4 or 2 ohms. i don;t know what kind of 15's you have but the type rs are a sq sub. They sound clean and punchy. I have a power 1000.2. it puts out 1000 x 1 bridged at 4 ohms. it does not say its 2 ohm stable but it is so i pump out over 2000 watts on it. i know this doesn;t help but the shoice is yours whether you want to run 4 or 2 ohm. I say whatever setup you can get cheaper with the same power.. it will sound the same.

btw the old type-rs the stated rms is at 300, but if you search/read car audio forums people recommend them running at 500-600rms each. just letting you know. I got 2 of em amped by a hifonics brutus bx1000d.
