No dashlights = driving me crazy!!!

I installed my alpine deck last weekend , used a wiring harness and everything works great but the gauges don't light up (04 vp coupe). The (overhead) interior light works but the gauges and heat/ac controls won't light up.It drives me nuts I checked fuses but can't find where the gauge lights fuse is I looked in the owners manual and no luck.I pulled the deck out and checked wiring and tried to connect the illumination wire to the ignition wire but no luck.Anyone have this happen? and advice would be greatly appreciated...Thanx..danny

The Fuse Is Under The Hood In The Black Fuse Box On The Passenger Side. It Also Represents Your Rear Brake Lights. They Place Your Dash And Brake Lights On The Same Circuit So That Way You Know Its Out.

if you hooked the dimmer wire wrong, you could have permanently blown your gauge lights. Hopefully thats not the case. Check all fuses under hood and under dash.
