Headunit won't accept CD problem

I just finished installing a Dual XDM-6820 Head unit in my Civic, and when I power it on, everything works fine until I try to put a CD in. I can put it in the slot but it doesn't accept it. It can eject the partially inserted cd fine, so there's power going to the motor. I hooked up the wiring harness correctly, and the antenna as well. Does anybody know what would cause this? Did I get a defective headunit? Thanks in advance

I agree, my pioneer had the same problem. Good thing i bought the warranty. They didn't even checked the receiver instead just offer me credit toward a new unit.

After playing with it for awhile, I figured out that you can reset the cd unit by holding the eject button for 3 seconds. After a combination of cd unit rests and head unit resets, it finally worked. Mods, you can lock this.

dual isn't exactly the best of the worst brands if you get my drift...

you'll probably have to reset the headunit quite a bit in the future...
