Bear in mind that the dome lamp is controlled by electronics, (dimming and auto shut-off after door left open) If you are adding them you may want a seperate wiring and control circuit.

i had them under footwells but one broke. So now they're under the seat for front light. I have EL wire for back lighting taped under the seat for the rear.

What in the hell did your meaningless post have to do with anything that he was asking? When did he say anything even relating to the dome light? When did he ever mention how it was wired?

Also, thanks for clarifying that lights are indeed electronic.

i used to have them... could never find a place where people on the passenger side wouldent kick them. So i did what gearbox did, and put them under the seat

Just saying if you draw too much current or hook the wrong device to the dome circuit and the control unit is a goner.

Funny how there is another thread where indeed they are trying to tie into the dome circuit. Hmmm....

Yes my contribution was totally worthless and yours so helpful, Flame on !!

i tapped both neons to the cig lighter socket, and the el wire too. So they come on with the ignition on.
