Rep Power: 0 PIAA vs Tenzo Fog Lights
I'm looking to get me some fog lights. I dont want OEM because of the yellowish color. I've come down to these choices.
PIAA 1900x
Available In Plasma Blue Fog
Bulb Type 12V - H3 55watt=85watt Super White
Features Silver PPS housing, chrome plated aluminum trim ring, and glass lens
Kit Includes Two lamps, wiring harness, relay, and switch
Tenzo 200x Diamond Series
This oval style, universal fit, mini-size fog lamps are made of lightweight, heat resistant PPS resin materials. Encased in chrome housing each set includes a compact size touch switch, heavy duty wire harness, relay and hardware kit.
Tenzo 700x Diamond Series
The 700x Diamond Series are mini-size fog lamps that are made of lightweight, heat resistant PPS resin materials. The TENZO 700X Diamond Series comes with a flick of a switch dual light system that can switch from 85 watt Hyper White fog light to a stylish LED City Light when the bright Hyper White is not needed. Encased in black housing each set includes a compact size touch switch, heavy duty wire harness, relay and hardware kit.
I'm kinda diggin the Tenzo 700s because of the fog/driving light option, but I havent really heard much about Tenzo fogs. Everyone always talks about PIAAs and OEMs. Any suggestions? Are the Tenzo fogs quality? Prices? I've gotten 5 different #s for local dealers for the PIAAs and Tenzos, but none of them work.

Rep Power: 0 I have Tenzo 500 fogs. They have a wide low beam ideal for fog lights and are excellent in terms of illumination, but two problems I had so far:
They're much cheaper than PIAA for sure. I don't see why PIAA would cost that much, they're not that much better. I've seen Tenzos for around $50 online. You might also check out Pilot fog lights.
Check out these of my Tenzo 500, comparing them on/off with headlights on a pitch black country road.

Rep Power: 0 klam - Interesting. The 500s are rectangular shaped yet seem to shine circular? Is that how it really is or just the pic makes it look that way.
netcbc - I would love to see them at night. Thanks!

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, the Tenzo 500 are rectangular but the light will spread out onto the road, and won't look rectangular. The rectangular shape helps the light spread wide I think.

Rep Power: 0 Well, I was able to find some prices. $220 for the PIAAs and $55 for the Tenzo 700s. Chances are, unless someone knows of quality probs with Tenzos, I'll probably go with them. I could get 4 sets of Tenzos and fill up my bottom grill for the price of the PIAAs.
Pedrito - Anything else to support the PIAAs. I'll probably wait till this weekend to fully decide, so feel free to convince me.
Still would love to see those pics netcbc!

Rep Power: 0 Blah..... PIAAs and Tenzos are ricey.
Get some GOOD foglamps. From Hella. MicroDE, specifically. Made in Germany, and used on many OEM high-end applications, such as Audis.
Goto www.hella.com and see for yourself. They have a light test tunnel.......... quite impressive. Far better lighting than any rice foglamps out there.

Rep Power: 0 This is the great part.
I've seen them for $150-$200, CANADIAN...
Which will be like $5 in US... Naw probably like $100-$130US... its about the price of entry level Solitaire series PIAAs, which *SUCK* ***. So yeah, value-wise, Hella MicroDEs kick ***. You can even order one with universal remote, so there will be no drilling required from battery to the interior of your car.
