Advice on another trunk vanity panel

I've wanted to sound deaden my trunk lid for a while now, but I hate how ugly it'll be. SO, I'm giong to start my newest vanity panel for the back of the trunk lid. It'll be a simple carpeted board about 80% of the back of the lid. I want to put a nice neon window in the center to match the rest of the trunk. My first thought was to do the Honda H in neon blue. Anyone have any opinions?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm not too sure about the H though. Its hard to say what I think would look best. Maybe you sub brand's logo?

you can always do a flip flop trunk, that would show off the nice work you've done already.......plus hide the underside of the trunk.....and it cost like $10 to do.

ex_03 is on a distinguished road
Yep:
1. take off your trunk lid.
2.Lay it on something soft! use 6mil thick plastic(found at home depot, painting department) and cover the area that you want to make a cover for.
3. get some heavy material like cheesecloth and adhere it to the trunk lid.
4. resin it with polyester or whatever you prefer.Let it harden then repeat untill its thick and shiny.
41/2.grind the ruff edges to fit the shape of the trunk lid.
5.sand it with 80,150,400,1000.
6. paint or vynil wrap.Or carpet like the rest of your trunk.

Then you'll have a piece that you can remove whenever you want.

i would think fiberglass would resonate sound like a ****! specially with 2 10w6's
dont do the H symbol it would be overkill cus youve got the JL already, what im going to do is just spray foam in the gaps in the trunk and sand it down till its a all around flat surface then spray adheasive and carpet it with the edge folded around (prefit it)
but this is a realllllllly half-assed way to do it only cus i frenched my plate so it would take 2 long to make the wood to fit around it.

try making a template for top and back of trunk with posterboard then cut that out and trace it onto 1/4 inch mdf or if you wanna save weight so your trunk doesnt slam you could use a good cardboard and then cut the fabric to go around the pieces, dammit i cant think of a quick strong way to join the two pieces, if you use cardboard you wont have to i suppose it could be one piece, im too tired to really think bout a good way to do this ....

I'd put a single monitor in the center, for when you have your trunk lid up to show off at shows or competitions or whatever. Though I'd have to recommend adding some gas schock to the trunk lid for added support.
