I just got a Eclipse CD5444 Head Unit and need some help.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but where is the Aux In on the deck?
Are they the RCA cables marked "Fixed Out"?

I have checked the manual and it is pretty useless.

FixedOut would be your sub output. It will either say AUX-IN on them, or be a nomex type plug for a changer input that you will need to buy an adapter for.

There is another RCA cable marked Line-Out Non-Fader/Low.
I figured that was the Sub Output? Am I wrong?

The auxilory input on your deck would be labeled aux in....I'm not so sure that the 5444 has aux in inputs....What yr was the 5444 produced in? Was that the same year eclipse produced the 8443 and the 8053?

I just went back to the shop I bought it from. The Input was a 3.5mm jack that was unlabelled.

Tom: I think it was last years model because I got a big discount on it.

The 5444 was last years model

The last digit denotes the year of the deck... 5 means 2005, 4 means 2004, etc. The first digit refers to the preout voltage. And thus concludes your Eclipse model number tutorial
