glassin the dash

i wanted to know if ne1 has glassed their dash yet. not the parts around the radios but like the entire dash.i want it to be smooth but the material is soft stuff. can i just sand and then glass it? any help would be appreciated

you should be able to a buddy of my did the same thing on some dash parts on his yukon and it worked but i think he had to strip on some of the vinyl.

I'm doing mine in the next month or so....there is a kit on ebay you can buy that goes OVER TOP of your dash...iot has a spot for 3 gauges above the radio as well...I'm thinking about that one or just doing something completely custom..

is that a self stick?
if it is, it wouldnt be a great idea for hot area. those self stick lose its stickiness after awhile.

my dash is glassed....kinda...pretty much, there's a spray that you can spray and sand down that is similar to glassing it. It's used pretty often to prep doors instead of glassing the whole door. I would post pictures, but my car is in the shop for about 2 months. It used to be silver marbled to match the body of my car. I'm also going to be doing the same thing to the door panels.
