Wire connection question / female disconnects for 12 awg wire

I was looking at my JL components when I noticed something about the connection terminals on the speaker. One is smaller than the other (one uses like a .25 female disconnect and the other is probably like the .110 or .187 size). You all probably know that, right?

Anyway, the speakers came with wire connectors (female disconnects in blue) but they aren't made for the 12 awg wire I plan on using. They are probably for like 14-16 awg wire. I have done some looking to see if I can get the smaller size female disconnect (.110 or .187 whatever size it is) for 12 awg wire. I can't seem to find any. I have looked at local hardware stores and a little online.

What are my options? I really don't want to switch to a smaller gauge wire because I already bought 75' of the 12 gauge and I cannot return it.

Thanks for your help. Again....

You can fit blue connects on 12 awg if you twist it really tight. You wont find yellow (10-12awg) connectors with a terminal that small.

Just put them on, and make sure your crimps are tight. I smeared my terminals with dialetric grease afterwards to keep them from rusting...it's available at autoparts stores. You dont need it, but it's a nice touch.

If you remove some of the strands then it may go into the terminals. I would remove all the plastic and try to solder the connectors on. Soldering is always the safest.

or if you're lazy just put the bigger connector on and squeeze it down real-*** tight with some pliers
