How to connect power wire for amps on 02 Civic?

Hey guys,

I was lookin the other day and saw that the Honda's battery is a top mount only. How can I hook up a amp wire (4 guage) to the positive terminal? It doesn't look like I can fit a ring terminal in so are there any good aftermarket postive/negitive battery terminals? Do you have to snip the factory wire and wire it into the battery terminal?

Just curious, pics/brands/anything would be helpfull.

Thanks,
Chris

why can't u just open up the red cover and screw a ring terminal on the stock battery terminal?
that's like the easiest way. not the best looking, but easiest.

Yep... just unscrew the nut on the positive terminal, and then just put the ring terminal on the positive connector, and tighten the nut down.

I have it setup this way, and yes I have 4 gauge wire too. I think a lot of people on this board do it this way. You could also buy one of those aftermarket connectors that allow you to put in raw 4 gauge wire without a ring terminal. I forgot what those are called though.

Actually I think it looks perfect. Just cut the side of the red cap around the wire so the wire come right out the side. Looks more than fine.
