ok i just sold my car with the 9831 in it, i loved the thing now i see alpine already came out with a new line the 9851 seems the same, and cheaper as well at 280 at crutchfield or the 983 for 300, this is cheap as hell to me cause 3 months ago, i bought my 9831 for 300 well christmas i should say did, so spend the same amount and get the 9833 or 9851? going in an 05 lx sedan

i liked how the 9831 sounded , so im thinking 9833 sinc eits the same price now, but might go with the 9851 cause i think it looks pretty good, is it bascialloy the same headunit though? i most likely will upgrade the speakers but no amp or subs , maybe an optima red top, dont know yet, but would like to have what i gave up? any opinions, new? or old but higher up?

if your not going to amp the speakers, get some aftermarket speakers with a low rms rating

I have one, and I love it. If you want the really nice display go for the 9835. It wasn't worth it for me since they have the same specs, only display is different.
