I have an Alpine 9831 and it has problems playing burned cds the cds they are burned on are staples brand, would a better quailty be my first try? other then that is there anything else i can do?

I bought an alpine 9831 recently as well. Did you fix your skipping problem? Was it just your cds? I hope I don't have this problem as well! My old deck had trouble reading cds, thats why I bought this new one. Let me know. Thanks.

I bought alpine 9831 just last week. So far have played BenQ, Fuji and Staples brand cdr as well (the gold ones) The only discs that skipped were ones that have scratches on them, otherwise I haven't had any problems playing those cdr's so far. I'm pretty happy w/ it, sounds and looks awesome.

i guess ill try the sony cds but if it becomes a serious problem ill possibly think about returning it and getting a new one if this continues.
