alternator ...ebay..canadian issue...
i bought my ex, in canada, labeled si, all that aside, this alt on ebay, listing says it wont fit the canadian built ones..any idea why??? maybe the alts ont he canadian model is diff than the usa version??? i'm confused, maybe i have more or less of a rating compared to the usa model, based on more cold weather?? hook a brother up with sum knowledge.

According to that seller (I've spoken to him before) it won't fit the Canadian Civics because the mounts are different. However, since the coupes are built in the states and sedans in Canada, I'm not sure if the difference is between cars SOLD in Canada vs USA, or if it's between cars MADE in Canada vs USA. Both ways I'm out of luck (Acura EL = sedan, Canadian market only) but do try calling Honda Canada and ask how the Civic Si's (not the EP3 version) alternator setup differs from the US EX's.

easiest thing to do would be to get the part numbers for the USA sedan and coupe alternators then compare them to the part numbers found on canadian sold civics..
why dont you people go look for the part number on your alternator then post the country the car was purchased along with whether it's a sedan or coupe.
