Call Honda ask them. I don't know anything about fit between the two. I'm guessing the bracket or pulley is different.

According to that seller (I've spoken to him before) it won't fit the Canadian Civics because the mounts are different. However, since the coupes are built in the states and sedans in Canada, I'm not sure if the difference is between cars SOLD in Canada vs USA, or if it's between cars MADE in Canada vs USA. Both ways I'm out of luck (Acura EL = sedan, Canadian market only) but do try calling Honda Canada and ask how the Civic Si's (not the EP3 version) alternator setup differs from the US EX's.

Something to do with the bracket. I'm sure you could machine or have one machined to work, but it'd be cheaper to buy one that's made for your vehicle.

i would assume that the seller meant his alternators dont fit civic sedans that are made in canada.

easiest thing to do would be to get the part numbers for the USA sedan and coupe alternators then compare them to the part numbers found on canadian sold civics..

why dont you people go look for the part number on your alternator then post the country the car was purchased along with whether it's a sedan or coupe.
