I'm looking at the Rockford Fosgate Power T110D2 Stage 1 sub, and the specs say for ported box volume it can be 1-2cu ft. so which is best? 1 or 2?

what would give the best quality?

would there be a bit noticable difference, or should I just go smaller to save space? I found a box on ebay that is 1.05cu ft. so I might just go with that since I've had one similar in the past and it's a decent box for the $.

the difference will be damping, and low frequency extension.

the larger box will play lowe,r but sound sloppier higher. so you might have ot turn your low pass filter down with a 2 cube box.

with the 1, you rish having your subwoofer sound overdamped, but youll have a higher powerhandling, higher extension up (should help integrate the subwoofer into your highs) and a smaller box.

so its a tough call. inbetween youll have a mix of both characteristics. for a daily driver, id probbaly want 1-1.2. for SQ competition I would probbaly want 2. but its also in-situ testing to determine what will be best for your specific tastes

Mostly, I'd say let your music preference decide. If its 50 cent and eminem, stick with the 2 cu. If you listen to some rock and maybe some pop with your hip hop I'd go for the smaller box.

yea i think it sounds like i should go with one semi in between...

I listen to everything so I want something that will sound good with any kind of music.. and like I said the 1.05cu ft box is really cheap and I've had one similar that I liked.. so thanks for the help guys, sounds like i dont really want much over 1.2..so i'll prolly check a few more auctions/websites wut not.. and prolly get the 1.05.
