sealing material

im looking forward to seal the inside of a sub box so it doesnt leak any air at all and sealed tight on all edges. the box is already made, but i just want to make sure theres no air leaks by applying some glue on the edges of each corner inside the sub box. i heard of elmers woodglue but how about "liquid nails adhesive" (specifically for paneling wood & foam molding)?

http://www.liquidnails.com/adhesives/ln-910.html

remember sub box is already made, just want to make sure for air leaks

another question: what size screws would u use for 3/4" MDF wood to mount a sub? would 10 x 1 1/4" be ok or should i do longer?

I'm a fan of silicone caulk. Just make sure it is completely dry before you put the sub back in, the fumes as it dries can eat away some of the rubber compounds in the surround of certain subs.

I have used both to seal. Either is fine. Another idea is to seal as you mentioned, then after that dries, spray the whole box interior with a spray noise dampener, such as...

is it ok to put the sub back in like 1 hour after the liquid nail? its a ported box so im guessing that port will just let air in and out?

If I were wanting to "seal" a box,I'd have sealed it when assembling with a liquid nail type substance, ran a bead in the corners, then used either a spray dampener, or similarsubstance. ou could use rubberized undercoating, spray bedliner, etc.

Why are you wanting to seal a ported box? You say you don't want any leaks, and there is a big port in it?

a port is made to certain specifications for a certain frequency. an air leak will disrupt that.
