How well does air flow through grille cloth vs dust?

How well does air flow through grille cloth vs dust?

Long story short- I am considering leaving the side car computer wide open to ventilate the CPU, I want to protect it from dest though, I 'm thinking about using grille clothe. Anyone?

Just use a fan. It will keep dust from building up. You can always take it out every once in a while and air dust it too, right?

If you want to filter the dust, and the area you want to cover is not too big. Use a sheet of fabric softner as a filter with a fan. It is a quick way to trap dust and doubles as an air freshner.

Thank you. I definitely will use a fan, but in a trunk during the summer, a 40mm Case fan isn't going to cut it. I'm also trying to cut down on the number of powered devices I'm using - I've only got 150w to work with and I dont' like the idea of the hogging that power with fans.

i imagine that it flows air very well as i have heard another member of this board say that it was "100% acoustically transparent".... as for dust, well I imagine not so well as the particles would have to be super super small to fit thru the mesh of the cloth
