The little wire is to run the Remote turn on lead from your HU to your amp

The remote turn on is a continuous 12 volt power signal that keeps your amp turned on

<< The remote turn on is a continuous 12 volt power signal that keeps your amp turned on >>

actually the remote turn on lead is a switched 12v+ signal that turns on when the HU is turned on and off when the HU is off...this in turn...turns the amp on and off accordingly

the constant to the amp is the big red gauge...

No, you dont understand, its not a separate little wire, it comes as part of the rcas, in between the red and black wires of the rca cable.

Yeah, that's what they are saying. basically with the two RCAs, there is another little wire. the little wire connects from the HU to the amp, which is the exact same as where teh RCAs are going. it makes it neater and all. Just connect it to the amp turn on on the HU and then to the AMP's power switch connection.

that is what i meant, but, when the cd player is on, it is a continuous power signal that keeps your amp on, and when the power is off, there is no more 12 volt signal

i'm guessing you got monster cables... it's supposed to get rid of the [badd] noise more or something(read the papers that came with it)... all you do is ground it...

Do not use that wire for the remote wire.
Remember you want to run all power wires away from sound wires (speaker wires, rca's)

Everybody uses it for the remote turn on but that is not what it is for. It is for grounding your amp to your headunit chassis to prevent noise from a "Ground Loop." Some amps have a separate ground on them for this, Kenwood excelons for example.
