remote starter
I just bought an Audiovox Prestige remote starter with keyless entry. Does anyone know where I can find the wires for the power locks?
And do you know how I can connect the hood pin wire to the inside of the car? Someone mentioned I can do it through the side mirrors??
And one last thing.. the instructions say I need to tap into the ignition, ignition2, and ignition 3 wires. the wiring chart in the DIY (http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=153833) only shows one ignition wire. Do you know where i should connect the ignition2 and 3 wires?

I got my power lock wires in the factory alarm harness. You can find the door trigger, trunk trigger, parking lights, and locks all in the factory alarm harness. It is on the left side of the stearing column. Pretty high up in the dash. It is normaly taped to itself if it has never been used. This is on ex models for sure I can't comment on LX or DX.

I would assume you can just leave them disconnected. According to my source, there is only one ignition wire for our cars...the second and third ignition wires are marked N/A. Try it with just the one hooked up and let us know if it works.
| DOOR TRIGGER|*2 |- |factory alarm plug *1 |
*1 The factory alarm plug is a green plug above the drivers kick panel. *2 The drivers door trigger is green, front passenger door trigger is lt. green/red, and the rear door trigger is green/white. use diode to isolate if use at this location.
| IGNITION|black/yellow |+ |ignition harness |
| ACCESSORY|black/red |+ |ignition harness |
| SECOND ACCESSORY|white/red |+ |ignition harness |
plug the rest of the ignition 2,3 into each acc.
| POWER LOCK|white/blue |- |gray plug above drivers kick|
| POWER UNLOCK|white/green |- |gray plug above drivers kick|
for LX, the two pin harness is taped to a split loom, (if i remember correctly).
555I works great on this vehicle.
