Redoing system again...

Currently, I have a bunch of stuff I haven't even installed yet, but now I'm wanting to redo the whole layout again. I haven't installed the mids or tweets yetm nor the new crossovers, and now, I'm considering doing a single brand system (except for the amps and subs). Basically, the components, and headunit (though I'll wait till last to do the hu as I just got a new one). Regardless, I'm looking at Pioneer's stuff, and haven't found a place to order as of yet, that I trust anyway. What I'm looking at is the following:

Pioneer TS-M7PRS 6.75 mids
Pioneer TS-T3PRS 1.25 tweets
Pioneer UD-N2PRS Crossover

I also want to get a 3.5-4 inch mid/high to make a 3 way, but I haven't found one that pioneer offers that's not a coax yet. Don't ask me what has possessed me to do this, as I still haven't figured it out yet. I'm also looking for a pair of 8's that'll do 250 RMS apiece as well (as I plan on running them off of my JL 500/1) in an SQ design (the enclosure will be sealed, and made from fiberglass, as I am almost complete with it). What I need is suggestions on an SQ sub that'll do this, as well as a place to buy the Pioneers that's reputable. Eventually, I plan on getting the Pioneer Reference HU and DSP that accompanies it. But that'll be later, as the P8 will do for now. Anyone know of a Pioneer, non coax tri-ax, 3.5-4 mid? And where can I buy the above products for a decent price that's not rediculously overpriced (MSRP is 300 for the mids, and less for the tweets and crossovers). Also, how would I manage to run a 3-way setup off of those crossovers, since they are 2-way crossovers? Or, do I need to find a crossover that's set-up for a 3-way, and which company should I look at for that for optimal operation? (Oh, and I'll be glassing my own kicks).

JL 8W7's want 250-300 watts, two should run good on a 500/1. That's all I can think of off the top of my head for a sub. The pioneer speakers I have heard in the past kinda...suck.

Yeah, I know about the W7's, but I'm not paying that much for them.

tom1178 is an unknown quantity at this point
Trying to build an entire system based on a single brand name is a bad idea if you care about what it will sound like, if you are sponsored or advertising that's another thing.........

Chances are if you go out and buy a set of SPEAKERS that you listened to and you like the SOUND.......you may not like the FEATURES of that particular brands HU...........

I get an MB boner for MB Quart components but they don't make HU's, and I have a fetish for Eclipse HU's but I'd never ever ever buy their components, although I do run two eclipse amps.....

So you're saying if I ever wanted to build an SPL vehicle completely with Alpine (and I don't even like Alpine but I know there products are good.. I'd rather buy an entire system made my JL but they still don't make HUs but hopefully someday they will), it'd be a bad idea? Please explain to me why.

details are foggy, but I seem to remember reading about a guy running a pure alpine setup winning a championship a few years ago.

Our store's demo vehicle that I helped build is completely Eclipse and that has won some of the local championchips.. If our store had more money, we could go to Nationals cuz it hits mid 160s..

^^If that was a remark towards me, I wasn't trying to brag about our store or anything.. I'm just trying to prove a point that you CAN build a good vehicle with one manufacturer to Tom1178..

I was talking about the comment I quoted... I think those are her favorite words ever. She says them all the time...Maybe it's cause they are singlt syllables, and easily interpreted...
