Those are definitely all very sick decks, but if you want my vote, I say go with the Alpine CDA-9835, that one will make many people jealous, including myself

Shop elsewhere for it though, those prices on crutchfield are ridiculous

I just ordered myself a new Alpine 9835 from www.sonicelectronix.com for $409 with free shipping, wire harness and dash kit.

Just a suggestion...

Why is the Alpine so expensive? Are panasonics and sony decks okay? I am looking to get an aftermarket HU for my 2004 civic, but I only want to spend 250 max...any suggestions?

Alpine's aren't that expensive.. depending on which one you get..
Panasonics are pretty decent.. Sony, well.. we won't talk about that.

I've narrowed it down to this 2 top of the line models.

Alpine CDA-9835 and Pioneer Premier DEH-P960MP

Which one you guys think is the better deck.

I've always been partial to Alpine. Actually, my Alpine 9835 from sonicelectronix will be on my doorstep tomorrow. Only took 1 week to place the order and be shipped from Cali to Chicago.

I was thinking about that same Pioneer also. I'm not a fan of cd players with crazy/awesome graphics... if it doesn't make the music sound better... what's the point??

ALPINE 9835 all the way!!!!! I have this deck and it is one of the best decks I have used. The Biolite display kicks A$$. You can see this display in our dashes even with direct sunlight. This deck seems bulletproof. I have had a few decks now. I would never again go back to another brand except for Alpine. This is my experiance from 4 years of car audio install and sales and personal in car use.

i am a big pioneer fan so they are so getting my vote. If you know how to adjust them they can make any system sound so good.
