Best remote starter...
I want a remote that has an LCD screen. I don't really know much about remote starters as far as what brands are the best. I want somthing that will work with stock security system. Then, what's a good price. I found Commando somthing for $180 but am afraid it's TOO cheap and therefor junk, help please. I did do a 7thgencivic forum search and found nothing to help me, so plz don't jump down my throat about that.
I say go with Clifford. It's gonna be expensive, probably around 500 but it's well worth it i think. I have a clifford alarm with an lcd screen remote but no remote start. Works well for me, just check out their website.
yep also got the CLifford RSX 3.5 w/ two way responder and remote start
CLifford is pricey but worht it, compustar is similar just a little less over priced.
read through the security threads here, theres plenty of em.
an alarm is only as good as its accesories

Any remote that has an LCD screen is for an alarm. Then you have to add in the remote start module. If you have a manual transmission it will cost extra to bypass the clutch interlock and add a safety feature so you cant remote start it while it's in gear.
Plan on around $500-$700 depending on your location for the alarm system, and the install.

Some people swear by Compustar, some people swear by Clifford, and their corporation. In my car, I have a Presitge system in. I had a Compustar, and was not impressed with the system. I had no range for the remote start. I had to be right next to the car for it to freakin' work. Check out what options you have around you. Generally if you buy one online, they warrenty might be void because it was not purchased from an authorized dealer, and possilby not installed by an authorized installer. Sometimes it is good to save, and buy stuff online, and sometimes it is good just to spend the money, and go buy it outright. This I think is one good example.
