I did the trunk rattle DIY and NOW....

Hey guys

I did the DIY trunk rattle by unscrewing the rubber bump stoppers a tad and lowering the trunk latch so its held down tighter ..... but now the trunk is just a bit higher in the back (by the rear window) so there is a gap and leaves and such can fall in. is this normal??

I know to fix it all I have to do is screw in the rubber bump stop things again so the back side of the trunk goes down a bit - but, wont this may make the trunk rattle again?

anybody have this problem with the DIY? what have you guys done to fix it?

I did the bumper part but didn't mess with the trunk latch at all, and i added some dynamat extreme, no problems at all

I lowered the trunk latch, partially unscrewed the rubber bumpers, and also slathered on some B-Quiet Xtreme on the inside of my trunk lid. Still rattles where the taillights are bolted on, but there's no gap at all, it looks like stock, save for the Ferio lights. I do have to push down a little harder to shut it though.

theres no problems with my trunk wen i did the rubber stoppers but there was still rattle on the trunk. i finally moved the latch down as far as it could go to be able to close the trunk and now it has reduced the trunk rattle by a lot. I think i could use some dynamat to reduce rattle even more.
