Lightbulb PS2 remote turn-on?

I wanted to know if it was possible to wire a ps2 to turn on with with either a switch. I have it in the trunk and every time i want to turn it on i need to go into the truck and push the reset button. Is something possible?

I don't know anything about how a PS2 loads, but if the power switch is on, and there is power coming in, does it boot on it's own?

If not, and your questions is how to hit the 'reset' button from within the car, there are a few things you could do, you could find the contacts that are within the PS2 and extend them to the interior, using a switch or a relay.

If you just want to switch the power that is connected to the PS2, you could use a relay from up front to switch the power, you could even do it from the HU's remote turn on lead to trigger it.

I could extend the reset button but it is a ribbon and i dont know how to extend a ribbon.
Running the remote turn on wire from my headunit is a good idea, what is the polarization (+ or -) the remote turn on wire sends?
