Manual Remote Switch
I don't want to tear my dash apart to get to the on/off switched wire to automatcially turn on my Bazooka csa300.1 sub. What signal is the remote on/off on the sub looking for to switch it on.
My chief complaint about bazooka style subs is the lack of a remote connection - supposedly they have auto off circuitry that senses when the vehicle is turned off but I went through 3 batteries before figuring out it was the culprit.

I tried jumping from the 12V source to the remote but couldn't get the amp to light up...
As far as the auto off, I put a relay in line with a switched source so the amp doesn't get power until the key is on.

For my Bazooka sub I just tapped into the positive wire of the accessory power outlet and ran a wire from there to the remote turn-on connector on the sub, with a switch in between.
Works great. I think Bazooka has a commercial device for controlling gain and toggling the sub on/off also, but I don't think its worth the extra $20-30 unless you really want to adjust your settings on the go all the time.
