SRS Light won't go off

My battery died and I had it replaced. Since then, the SRS light won't go off. I have a 2001 civic LX and the dealer said he would charge $85 just to hook it up to the machine to see if anything is wrong. Is this normal when you swap batteries?

No it's not normal. Weird in fact. Maybe just your computer needs to be reset.

Why did you replace your battery if it died? Batteries can be charged.

There is an SRS reset procedure that is really easy to do with a paperclip. Search for it and try it prior to dishing out $85. Try it 4 times at the minimum, it takes practice to get it.
