Question problem with subs popping

HELP with sub popping noise ..

sorry it's kind of lengthy but I wanted to describe the problem as best I could..

I've been having an ongoing problem with the subs popping the sound makes me think there is a loose wire somewhere thats not entirely touching, the reason is sometimes it will pop, sometimes bass fades out or dissappears, and othertimes it sounds like the conection is being touched but not completely its hard to descrbie anyway every time this happens I try fixing it, tightening the wire connection on the amp, which I think is 1 potential source of the problem.. I replaced the wiring w/ thicker wire so that it would fill up the hole in the amp where you put the wire in thinking it would hold better, but i did notice when putting the subs in the box that one of the female connectors i used on the tab seemed to wiggle, so maybe thats the problem? the weird thing is, when I tighten the wiring on the amp it always seems to help but then problem comes back, however the wires going into the amp dont seem to be loose.. so today is the 3rd or 4th time I've had the problem, and Im about out of ideas on how to fix it, possibly wire straight from the amp to the subs going through the port in my box to see if the terminal is causing the problem, im not really sure what to do... my amp is an RF 601S (Punch) (i think its a 2001 model, but not 100% sure) im kinda pissed that it doesnt have an easier way to connect - but maybe its fine and thats not the problem..

I appreciate any advice..

this is just so frustrating..

so does anyone have any idea? I paused my deck today when it popped and even with the deck paused it still popped.. so Im not sure if I just narrowed it down that this is a problem between the deck and the amp or amp and subs, it could still be a lose speaker wire right? or would it have to be a problem between the deck and amp for the amp to power the sub to make that noise?

someone has to have some suggestions, I guess if not I can always ask Circuit City for advice, I'd rather fix this myself but its such a hassle and its hard to pinpoint where the problem is.. also, I dont think its a problem from the deck because my interior speakers are amped too and im pretty sure the RCA is just a Y split so the interior speakers would have to pop too if it was caused by the deck.. unless im mistaken and my RCAs are 2 sets just wrapped in 1 cover and splits into to on my deck, I suppose I could check my deck stats and see if it was more than one preout, if it only has one then the problem must be my RF amp that is sending this signal for some reason to the subs.. im confused..

update: I stand corrected, I was taking apart my backseat in preparation for installing new suspension tomorrow and there are separate RCAs for each amp, the Y split is for the 4chan and the sub amp has its own set.. im assuming its a Y doesnt matter, if thats changes anything.. doubt anyone feels like reading all this but if anyone does, AGAIN - I APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE OR TIPS!

no thats not wut it is, this is different the gain is at most 1/2 to 3/4 remote bass is all the way down and deck is on -4 out ot +6.. this sounds like some wire isnt connected all the way and its maybe half way touching or some ****... hard to explain and its recent it was working fine up until about a week ago, i've had this amp w/ the same subs for almost 2yrs
