Messed up subs, advice please!

Well, today I finally got my custom calcualted enclsoure done for my Alpine Type R 12"s 1221'd and bought myself the JBL 601.1 amp alont with a cap to upgrade my system.

I bought the subs like three months ago off another member

originally the subs looked fine, and they sat in my room for a few months til i scraped togheter enough money for a box (being a student sucks)

so today I drop like a grand getting everything ready and I find that one sub is doing this little farting noise because the rubbers outter ring unglued itself from the sub. Though from in the car you cnat hear it, you can hear it from outside and on certain songs. Needless to say its a great dissapointment

Im thinking I could just glue that ring back on to the sub and the annoying sound will stop seeing as how when I apply a little pressure from my finger it stops.

What glue should I use? Should I clean it with a prep pad?
Should I just go and buy a new sub

Since I bought the sub off another board a few motnhs ago Im sure hes not going to issue me a RMA number and neither will alpine without a receipt I presume.

Heres a pic to illustrate the damaged area

if you look from the outside in
theres the one circle with the screws
the area just below it about 75% is unglued from the inner most silver circle.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated, and grr dishonest members make me so angry.

4Saris is an unknown quantity at this point
I did the same thing and used GOOP from home depot. It worked perfect because it's flexible. No problems or "farting" for about 3 months now.

You could also try bringing it to a shop, some of them will send it out for warranty work without a receipt
