Rep Power: 350 300-400 dollars what HU?
This girl wants me to help her get a nice flashy head unit..
I want a clarion so I told her ill show her the clarions.
They may not be flashy enough...but im looking at the DXZ745MP, and the 945MP.
What are some other ones just as good as the clarion mabye better looking.
Before she talked to me she wanted a panasonic CQ-C8400U or something like that one.
what do yee say

That should take care of the bling factor for her as well.

Rep Power: 282 Actually, I have the Clarion 745, and it really is a nice unit. Plus it matches the dash colors, both in look and in illumination. I have been really happy with it. It is just a downplayed low key unit.

Rep Power: 787 Pioneer 940mp. I paid $540 over a year ago, so you could find it cheaper. One of the coolest and flashiest decks you'll ever find.

Rep Power: 787 Alpine isn't very flashy imo. Either go with a high end pioneer or a panasonic with those cool displays. NEVER get sony.

Rep Power: 787 Um I do lol. I wanted the pioneer as soon as I saw the organic EL display. I agree it's not the only factor, but it should be somewhat important if you're gonna be looking at it all the time.

Rep Power: 787 Panasonic has some nice looking decks. I would say go for panasonic or pioneer. Kenwood has just gone to crap along with sony. Alpine has one model with a cool display, but it costs over your budget. Mystic has it. Check out carmedia1.com for some of them.
How about this pioneer?

Rep Power: 273 Get the Pioneer DEH-P80MP ! That deck is sweet !
Panasonic and Sony get bashed a little too much for nothing..
I have had the SONY MP80 and it was a great deck never had probs and sounded great..
But if u wanna jump the wagon go with the safe bet and get pioneer or alpine ...
check out www.crutchfield.com - they have great picture of most decks if your into looks.

Rep Power: 304 Pioneer probably makes some the better units if you really want to find a flashy one. Alpine is great too, but they arent flashy. The display on mine is awesome, everyone loves it, but its kinda of "plain" looking I suppose.

Rep Power: 787 Pioneer has the absolute clearest and best display ever. Next is the panasonic, although it's a bit more pixelated. The alpine that mystic has is also very nice. Sony has a few cool ones, but I think you mentioned wanting to actually play music with it.

Rep Power: 0 I couldn't be happier with my Clarion DXZ745MP. Thanks to the ability to do custom colors (it has an RGB control!) you can match dash lighting perfectly. It sounds great, has awesome features, and looks clean.
