My friend has 2 12" jl audio w7's brand new in the box and has had them for like 6 months just sitting in his room. he does not have a car. he is 16 and so am i and his friend(his rich friend) gave these subs to him for his birthday. Right now i have 2 15" comp vr's on a tsunami db1100 and i am looking for more bump should i trade my two 15" comp vr's and my amp for his 2 12w7s? what do the 12w7's usually sell for for two of them? the only problem is i would have to build a new box for them and get an amp that puts out like 2000 watts

i know they will probably sound better, but will they hit harder? is it not pretty much an even trade. i paid $230 for my subs and $250 for my amp. plus about $100 for the box. 230+250+100= $580 so thats like 300 per sub. i mean he got them free and don't wven know they are good. i am not trying to rip em' off in the trade. he knows they are probably worth more and all, but he knows im into the car audio stuff and he got them free so he really don't care.
