how do you guys fasten the wood to the car? like that one big piece of wood that covers the spare tire. how do you prevent it from jumping around and moving?

Velcro is the easiest solution, or you can do what I did which was create a hinged platform for my box that I bolted to the hump behind the back seat, and then fabricate the rest of the false floor around it

i tried the velcro but it keeps coming off.
the sticky part i mean. the velcro itself was very strong but the adhesive would come off. i will be removing it alot so i think the hinge idea ia good.

My method also stops your box from being inadverently removed from your trunk

Don't just stick it on, STAPLE it on (or use little nails if you can't use staples).

cool
yea im thinking of getting some half inch or 3/4 inch wood and making a new floorboard that covers the entire trunk.
then cut out a small door that will let me access the spare tire area for more storage.

sevenplaces is on a distinguished road
what I did is buy a cheap rear strut tower brace off ebay. then cut two small slots in the floorboard in front of your sub box and put a strap on each side going around your sub box, under the floorboard thru the cuts and around the strut bar. I cant even move my box around If I go over a speedbump at 50+ mph. works great!
